Higgins Coatings joins OzHarvest CEO CookOff 2026!
Two Higgins leaders are swapping their usual roles for chef’s aprons, joining OzHarvest’s CEO CookOff 2026 to help tackle food insecurity and support Australians doing it tough.
For Higgins Coatings, giving back to the communities where we live and work has always been an important part of who we are. This October, that commitment is taking us into the kitchen.
Ben Cook, General Manager – Flight, Safety and Compliance, and Cameron Steindl, General Manager – Queensland, are representing Higgins at OzHarvest’s CEO CookOff events in Melbourne and Brisbane.
Alongside some of Australia’s leading chefs and fellow business leaders, they’ll roll up their sleeves to prepare and share meals with people supported by OzHarvest’s charity partners, while raising much-needed funds and awareness for food relief.

More Than Just a Meal
Across Australia, millions of households are experiencing food insecurity, with the rising cost of living placing increasing pressure on families and individuals.
OzHarvest’s CEO CookOff brings business leaders, chefs and communities together to help address this challenge.
The 2026 initiative aims to bring together 300 business leaders and 80 chefs across nine events, with a national fundraising goal of $2.5 million to help OzHarvest deliver five million meals.
But the event is about more than fundraising. It’s an opportunity to connect with people, share experiences and better understand the challenges facing Australians experiencing food insecurity.
Building on Our Partnership with OzHarvest
Higgins’ involvement in the CEO CookOff builds on an established partnership with OzHarvest and our shared commitment to making a positive difference. Our teams have previously supported OzHarvest through in-kind painting services, including helping transform the kitchen at its Port Melbourne facility.
The refreshed space supports OzHarvest’s Cooking for a Cause program, where participants prepare nutritious meals using rescued ingredients for distribution to local charities.
Giving Back Where It Matters
As Australia’s largest family-owned commercial painting company, Higgins operates in communities across the country. We believe our responsibility extends beyond the buildings we maintain and the projects we deliver.
Whether it’s supporting community organisations, contributing our skills or participating in fundraising initiatives, we’re committed to creating a positive impact in the places our people call home.
We’re proud to stand alongside OzHarvest once again and support its mission to reduce food waste and feed people in need.
Want to make a difference?
The impact is significant: Every $1 donated enables OzHarvest to deliver two meals to people in need. If you are able to contribute, please do so via the link below: CEO CookOff - Higgins Coatings
