Higgins Coatings tees up support for FOGS Golf Day!
Higgins was proud to continue our support of FOGS Queensland (Former Origin Greats), joining the organisation for its Brisbane Golf Day at Virginia Golf Club on 21 August.
The event brought together Queensland’s business and sporting communities for a day of golf, networking and fundraising, with former Queensland State of Origin greats including Wally Lewis, Matt Gillett and Trevor Gillmeister among those in attendance.
Our Brisbane team took over Hole 13 for the day, with Allyssa Gauci and Sienna Maharaj running the Higgins activation and putting players’ driving skills to the test. The challenge came with a Higgins twist – players had the chance to take their longest drive using an orange Higgins footy, with a prize up for grabs for the best effort of the day.
While there was plenty of friendly competition on the course, the day was ultimately about supporting the important work FOGS does in the Queensland community. Our involvement with FOGS extends beyond Brisbane. Our Queensland teams have supported a number of FOGS events, including regional lunches in Rockhampton and Townsville, helping us build stronger connections with the communities in which our people live and work.
This year marked our first sponsorship of the FOGS Brisbane Golf Day and another opportunity to strengthen a partnership that aligns closely with the Higgins' values.
