Higgins mixes business with pleasure

We all know the saying, ‘you don’t mix business with pleasure,' but our Adelaide team has challenged this taboo with the annual Higgins Golf Classic.

The Classic is a day where valued clients are invited to join us on the green for a well-earned reprieve from work. But it is not all in the name of fun; the Higgins Golf Classic helps raise money for charities in need.

Developed by our Adelaide branch, the team was determined to create a customer experience that was not only a great day out but also went toward supporting a greater cause. And so, the Higgins Golf Classic was born. Now in its fourth year of operation, the Higgins Golf Classic has so far helped raise money for organisations such as Camp Quality, Beyond Blue, and Headspace

Earlier this month three families attend our South Australian Family Camp at Woodhouse Activity Centre. Although a small number of families attended there was still a big impact made.

The families had a wonderful time and became a close-knit unit by the end of Camp. Thank you, Adelaide team for helping make this happen for our kids and families impacted by cancer. We are incredibly grateful for your support!

Entry into the Higgins Golf Classic is $50 - 100% of which goes towards the nominated charity - all other expenses are covered by Higgins Coatings. This year, the event helped raise $1,000 for the Hutt St Centre – an organisation that aims to end homelessness for every person who walks through its doors.

When asked about the growth of the event, General Manager of SA/NT noted "it has been fantastic to be able to contribute valuable funding towards the work of several charities. We've got plans to grow the Higgins Golf Classic and are excited to see how large our donations can get."

To keep things exciting, the winner of the Higgins Golf Classic gets to walk away with the Higgins Golf Classic Champion award, while the player at the bottom of the leader board receives the Higgins Golf Classic NAGA Award.
