‘Better painting management’ has made its way to Tasmania, with our Hobart branch opening late last year.
Marcus Higgins has been integral in strengthening the company's presence in Victoria, and now he is focusing on expanding it to Tasmania. Marcus shared his excitement about the venture with us.
"Although Higgins has been providing painting services in Tasmania for a few years by flying teams in and out to complete work, the company decided to open a branch in Tasmania, to have a more permanent presence in the area.
However, we knew we needed the right person to manage the branch, which is where Andrew Turnbull came in."
Regional Manager of Victoria and Tasmania Daniel Cassivelidis will be helping Andrew strengthen his relationship with customers and suppliers locally. Daniel is similarly feverish about Higgins Hobart.
"Our local approach to expanding into new markets has a proven record of success. With leadership from Andrew and our team of local tradespeople in Hobart, I look forward to the growth of the branch, servicing a wide range of customers - protecting, enhancing, and maintaining their properties."

Andrew brings an extensive background in project management as the owner/operator of his own business.
We asked Andrew about his previous experience and what he was looking to accomplish with Higgins Hobart.
Tell us a bit about your experience before joining Higgins.
"I had my own business where I successfully completed various refurbishment projects from start to finish. During my time there, I closely collaborated with my clients to ensure their project needs were met and completed to their satisfaction.
I am thrilled to bring my expertise to Higgins and continue to offer tailored solutions to customers, this time with an emphasis on painting and maintenance."
What services will Higgins Hobart provide?
"Higgins is a proud Australian family-owned-and-operated business – Australia’s largest. I’m excited to leverage the experience of Higgins’ national workforce and provide a professional commercial painting service to the area.
Our branch will offer the standard range of services provided by Higgins while ensuring that we maintain their high safety standards."

How will Higgins support the region?
"I am a resident of Hobart and have always lived here. I am excited to be able to contribute towards the growth of the economy by providing high-quality services.
Our primary focus is to boost the local economy by hiring local tradespeople and buying from local suppliers. For larger projects, we may call upon our national workforce for additional support, which is a great option to have."
What's your experience been like since joining Higgins?
"I'm fortunate to have been given this opportunity, and I feel incredibly well-supported. Even though I've only been here for a short time, I already feel like part of the family."
