Walsh Bay Arts Precinct
Overlooking Sydney Harbour, Walsh Bay Arts Precinct boasts one of the finest arts and cultural facilities home to some of the country's top performing arts companies. Its heritage makeup has undergone many major works throughout the years to uphold its place along Sydney's pristine waterfront. Most recently, our Sydney team was appointed to revitalise the harbour's exteriors and refit the facilities' internals simultaneously.
There was an emphasis on project management to allow our team to conduct both projects in a safe manner but also complete the scopes within a limited timeframe. An array of mechanical access equipment were used, as well as scaffolding to reach areas that were otherwise difficult to reach.
Being a heritage site dating back to 1921, our experts carefully addressed the lead flaking paint next to the harbour's edge prior to painting. All contaminants were captured and disposed of off-site, preventing any run-off entering the water. Dulux Acraskin was then applied to protect the surfaces from the elements. The paint colour was meticulously matched to previous specifications.
