TriCare Hayville Retirement Community
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the TriCare Hayville Retirement Community had started a planned maintenance project for their roofing, which included galvanised gutters and fascia.
However, due to the ongoing disruptions caused by the pandemic, the project was discontinued, leaving the many units within the village with roofing issues that needed attention.
To address this, Higgins Melbourne was engaged to manage the roofing project and carry out necessary repairs, such as replacing cracked tiles, repairing pointing alongside gables, and other minor fixes.
Once the roof restoration was complete, the TriCare facility management team engaged our painters to provide a full external repaint throughout the community.
Our on-site team developed a schedule of works featuring four stages to minimise disruption to the facility.
Despite the inclement weather, which threatened to delay the project's delivery, our scaled-up workforce, including up to eight roofers and ten painters, enabled us to stay on track.
We have already completed two stages of the repainting schedule and have received positive feedback from the Village Manager for our consultative approach throughout the project.
