Queenscliff Ferry Terminal

The Queenscliff Ferry Terminal is an award-winning design built in 2023, that has a strong coastal feel and encompasses a range of spaces for passengers transiting through the terminal.

Our Western Vic team were recently engaged to perform an extensive external wash of the terminal, addressing the unique challenges posed by its coastal location.

The seaside environment subjects the building’s surfaces to constant exposure to salt-laden air, which can accelerate the wear and deterioration of substrates if not properly maintained. Regular washing is essential to mitigate the effects of salination, protecting the integrity and appearance of the structure.

To ensure a comprehensive clean, Higgins employed a variety of advanced access methodologies tailored to the terminal's design. This included the use of a 45ft knuckle boom, a 26ft scissor lift and a 125ft straight boom, enabling safe and effective access to all areas.

Higgins is proud to support the preservation of this iconic coastal landmark, ensuring it remains a vibrant and welcoming gateway for travellers while withstanding the challenges of its stunning yet demanding seaside location.
