Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility
Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility is a 70-bed facility located in Kirwan, a suburb of Townsville. Residents are provided with aged and memory support in a home-like environment, ensuring they can enjoy an independent lifestyle.
Higgins were approached to help restore the look of the facility, after successful previous works.
The scope of works included a full external repaint utilising a mixture of Taubman’s Allweather and PPG two packs, a specification selected explicitly to withstand the extreme heat the facility is subjected to.
A prominent challenge within this project was the need to work in secure areas where Dementia patients are housed. This difficulty was emphasised by the reliance on Elevated Work Platforms (EWP’s) in and around a functional facility.
After two months on-site, we signed-off on this project and look forward to returning to cater to any future painting needs.
