Frankston Arts Centre
The new Higgins Dandenong branch completed an external repaint of the Frankston Arts Centre. The scope of works included doing feature walls in stipulated colours and the repainting of the 22 metre high tower, which can only be abseiled. The location presented several challenges – access to adjacent carpark walls was only possible at weekends; the team was working in and around bird wires and swooping seagulls that were nesting on the roof; the theatre was booked out for rehearsals by groups of up to 350 children while works were being carried out. Careful consideration and planning ensured a successful outcome.
