88 The Esplanade
Our Darwin team recently completed a stunning external repaint of 88 The Esplanade in Darwin, delivering a fresh and modern new look. Over 10 weeks, our expert team meticulously prepared and painted the eaves, walls, columns, and slab edge, transforming the building’s façade from a dated burnt orange to a sleek, contemporary colour scheme.
Beyond aesthetics, the project was designed to offer long-term protection against Darwin’s harsh climate. With water ingress being a key concern, our team applied high-quality coatings to enhance the building’s durability and resilience.
A major challenge was ensuring minimal disruption to guests, as the property remained fully operational throughout the project. To achieve this, our team carefully planned each phase of work, using a variety of Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), including machines ranging from 86 to 135 feet, to access all areas efficiently and safely.
Collaboration played a vital role in the project’s success. The property's chairperson was instrumental in facilitating smooth communication, ensuring our team had all necessary access and information to complete the job safely and on schedule.
The result? A revitalised, weather-protected hotel that stands out with a modern aesthetic, enhancing its appeal for guests and locals alike.
