Toorak College

Toorak College is a prestigious independent boarding school located in Mount Eliza. Higgins was successful in its bid for the tender the school released in 2019. Higgins provided a multi-year painting maintenance plan to Toorak College, with repaints complemented by discretionary hours. We commenced works at the school in September of 2019 with our round of repainting works completed in March of 2020.

The initial works focussed on bridging the evident gap in the age of the eldest buildings with their more contemporary counterparts. To assist us with this challenge, we engaged a colour consultant whose colour scheme required approval from the local council before we could apply to the school.

After we completed the works for our first year on-site, we receive commendation from the school's principal as below. We look forward to returning to the College to maintain the facilities.

"The thing about schools is they are about so much more than the teaching and learning that happens in the classroom. The environment that students are part of can make them feel safe, proud and inspired. The work Higgins conducted at Toorak College was done so with this in mind. We were thrilled to work alongside them in creating inspired learning spaces. This was particularly evident in our new Swift Science and Technology Centre. A building that truly empowers our students to leap boldly toward their futures and the level of detail applied in the building is evidence of how much we want that for them."
