genU's Head Office building in Belmont is supported internally largely from a range of timber beams. The beams were installed less than two years earlier, however were not given the appropriate protective coating, and had begun to degrade. Higgins were engaged to repaint these timber supports and to protect against the extreme heat that becomes intensified by the glass elevations.
Our operations team provided a full internal timber sheen, while applying clear coats to prevent future heat damage. We performed the project in three stages, enabling the facility to remain operational throughout. To access all the areas above ground level, we utilised scissor lifts and scaffolding, with exclusion zones to ensure the safety of the public.
