The paintwork at Forest Lake State School had degraded over recent years. The facility management team at the school understands the importance of proactive painting to alleviate maintenance issues. Our local Brisbane experts acted on an ongoing relationship with the school to gradually improve its external condition with a colour change.
The Higgins point of difference stemmed from the ability to accommodate the school's needs. When we were initially engaged to commence external painting, the objective was to revamp sections with a new colour scheme.
Working closely with the Facility Manager, we tackled the project by scheduling school blocks one at a time. The repaint projects were delivered over several holiday periods and as school hours permitted during which stringent safety measures were applied. Higgins takes pride in upholding the highest standards when it comes to safety and best practices. This gave facility management peace of mind knowing that the project could be completed simultaneously without endangering staff and students, trusting our operatives to use temporary fencing to isolate the worksite along with signage and pedestrian management.
To access higher elevations, we used a combination of EWPs, scaffolding and trestles. Surfaces were coated with Dulux specifications in a scheme tailored to the Forest Lake State School colours.
Our team fostered the relationship with the school by promptly carrying out painting scopes when they arose and addressing unforeseen scheduling and building issues.
Over a three-year period, the educational facility's externals were injected with new life, block by block. Minor internal repaints emerged from the initial external scope, cementing Higgins as Forest Lake State School's painting contractor of choice. Our Brisbane team look forward to returning to the school and see more of the facility transformed.
