Higgins were engaged by the Noosa Shire Council to repaint the Eenie Creek Bridge in Sunshine Heads. The scope of works consisted minor painting preparation works followed by the repainting of the bridge's structural steel work and handrails.
Throughout the project the walkway of the bridge needed to remain operational. We fenced off working areas to enable pedestrian traffic to safely continue traversing the highway. A traffic management team was in place to ensure the safety of our team and the public at street level.
Our operations team utilised boom and scissor lifts along with scaffolding to access the substrates. We tailored a works schedule with early and after hours work to minimise the disruption to the public. We applied an International Paint specification utilising an approved fit for purpose two-pack epoxy paint system to complete the works.
After two and a half weeks on-site, working closely in conjunction with the Noosa Shire Council WH&S team, the project was complete. To see how we delivered the project, watch the video below.
