Domain Car Park

If you’ve visited Sydney’s sprawling CBD, it’s likely that you’ve gazed upon the Wilson Parking Domain Car Park. After all, this open-air space houses some of the city’s most popular concerts, festivals, and special events – though you wouldn’t guess it from the atmosphere.

Instead of the noisy or hectic city event space one might imagine, the Domain Car Park is a tranquil and beautiful spot to relax and
overlook some of Sydney’s best vistas — like the iconic Mrs. Macquarie’s Point. Recently, they’ve decided to rebrand— and the team
from our Sydney branch was lucky enough to be a part of it.

For their rebrand, Wilson Parking wanted to freshen up the Domain Car Park into something vibrant and clean. Inspired by the gorgeous space, Higgins delivered some of our best work to date. The refresh included a repaint of all the walls, columns, and handrails, but perhaps most exciting was our work on the Travelator, which links the space to Hyde Park. At 207 metres, this underground moving walkway is the longest structure of its kind in the southern hemisphere and sees thousands of commuters every day.

Finally, to complete the extensive project, we enhanced the space’s old lighting, signage, and line markings. The result is a modern and engaging space that will attract Sydneysiders (and visitors) for years to come. It’s safe to say that the client is thrilled— and we are proud of the work we completed for them.
