Higgins recently completed a sanitising service to the public toilet amenities at Colley Reserve within Holdfast Bay. The amenities are located within a popular park that receives significant foot traffic, which emphasises the need for its patrons to stay safe from harmful germs.
Cleaners prepared for the service by disinfecting the facility prior to our operations team attending the site. The Higgins service involved the sanitisation of the toilet block. We utilised BioProtectâ„¢ Surface Spray Disinfectant to carry out the antimicrobial sanitising service. After 30 minutes, the facility was ready for re-entry to the general public.
Tests utilising an approved ATP measuring device were conducted before and after the Higgins service, to demonstrate the reduction of germs and bacteria present on surfaces.
Relative light units (RLU) is an indicator of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) - the energy building blocks for all living cells. The presence of ATP is generally a good indicator of cleanliness. The lower the score, the cleaner your surface is. Benchmark figures vary depending on the environment being tested (e.g. is it a high traffic area? How clean was the area prior to?), and this is why we recommend cleaning surfaces prior to our service. A change in the reading post service demonstrates successful application of our product.
