Higgins was engaged to perform a multi-year painting maintenance plan at the strata complex standing at 28 Wood St, Darwin. Our painting solution focused on an internal repaint of all common areas, while externally repainting all elevations and facades.
Our operations team removed and rendered over the dangerous air conditioning landings. We decommissioned the air conditioning units that were to remain at the facility to enable safe access for our abseil-painters. Our abseil-painters created several anchor points on the roof, and were able to access the facades of the building, with hoarding zones below to land in. For areas unable to be reached via rope access, we utilised scaffolding.
"Over the last two years I have been fortunate to be working alongside Higgins on a number of large and smaller painting projects. I have found their knowledge to be sound, felt confident with their opinions and the works have been of high quality and standards. Any issues that arose on any front, all members of Higgins were quick to act, investigate, rectify and satisfy the customers.
All safety aspects, procedures and precautions are of a high priority, which is of most importance when a project is undertaken with occupants, members of the public and contractors going about their day to day lives, while the building is being painted and has been turned into a constructions site. Any unforeseen variations, such as balustrade replacements, change of texture requests or additional areas to paint, Higgins were swift to provide a competitive quote and undertake the works.
The project contracts are thorough and easy to understand. The project manager and supervisor makes themselves available at any hour, always willing to help and achieve a great result. The portal provides great details and updates of the project status. The staff are a delight to work with and I would not have any hesitation referring Higgins to any potential clients."
