Situated in the Entertainment Quarter precinct at Moore Park in Sydney, the heritage-listed Byron Kennedy Hall exudes 1920s charm and style.
The venue is a popular space for banquets, cocktail parties, product launches, theme parties and special events, such as the Sleaze Ball & numerous Post Mardi Gras Functions. Back in 1999 working for Civil & Civic, Higgins was involved in the refurbishment of the building as part of the Fox Studios Precinct project. So it is fitting that given our history, we were once again asked to fully repaint both the interiors and exteriors of this marquee facility. Two of the spectacular features of the building are the Clock Tower and Central Dome, which were carefully prepared and repainted in accordance with a Dulux specification. Being a heritage-listed building, particular care needed to be taken by our team who used both mechanical access and specially engineered scaffolding for the Dome to ensure the weight loading requirements on the old timber floor were met.
