ASBA National Conference 2023

We're making our mark at the ASBA (Association of School Business Administrators) National Conference 2023 held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

After plenty of planning and anticipation, over 800 Business Managers and School bursars from around the country have arrived to attend the conference, which has been split into quarters with each highlighting a different tourism region of Victoria. 

As a Platinum Partner of ASBA, we are front and centre in the Yarra Valley area, and have taken the theme on, with daily on-stand activations from the region.

28.09.2023 - And just like that, the ASBA National Conference comes to a close.

This year's conference was touted to be a big one and it didn't fall short. The Higgins team would be remised to not thank ASBA for hosting such a wonderful event that allowed us to showcase the flavours of the Yarra Valley as Platinum Partners and live out the palpable atmosphere of The Nightcap.

The team were also pleased to connect with delegates from around the country and demonstrate how Higgins can brighten their school's learning environments. After a whirlwind few days, we are already setting our sights on the ASBA State Conferences in 2024 and the ASBA National Conference 2025 in Darwin. We can't wait to see you all there!

27.09.2023 - Yarra Valley Chocolaterie concludes our culinary tour.

After exemplary showings from our other Yarra Valley suppliers, expectations were high, and the water cooler talk among the ASBA delegates was Higgins' on-stand activations. Yarra Valley Chocolaterie exceeded the lofty expectations with assortments of decadent chocolate that were a big hit.

27.09.2023 - Marcus Higgins welcomes all to Melbourne for day three.

General Manager of Victoria Marcus Higgins addresses the delegates ahead of a keynote presentation. The ASBA National Conference 2023 being hosted in the city where it all started for Higgins Coatings in 1949 meant a lot to the family at Higgins - so Marcus was all too pleased to extend a heartfelt welcome to all in attendance. 

26.09.2023 - We explore more tastes of the Yarra Valley on day two.

The conference hustle and bustle did not let up on day two. Throughout the day, our team had the pleasure of chatting with Business Managers and Bursars from schools all around the country. Later that afternoon, our booth hosted a rum and gin tasting with Yarra Valley locals Killik Rum and Ginfinity who showed off their exquisite range.

25.09.2023 - Higgins' signature event The Nightcap.

After ASBA's Laneway Party, it was time for a dance at The Nightcap. We invited our ASBA friends along to Melbourne Public to mingle over a drink or two and let their hair down to some music. It was a fantastic turnout that saw the Higgins team connect with over 250 delegates from the conference.

25.09.2023 - ASBA Conference 2023 gets off the ground.

Day one of the conference meant the crew could finally reveal the booth design, especially our very own hot air balloon sporting nothing but the Higgins orange and purple. We've gone all-out and brought the tastes of Yarra Valley to ASBA 2023 this year with a unique culinary adventure from the region's finest.

Today, we invited Yarra Valley Dairy to showcase some products including their crowd favourite Persian fetta.
